When people learn I'm a published author, they often start asking me all sorts of questions ...
- Do you pay an agent to find a publisher for you or to edit your manuscript?
- Do you have to have an agent?
- Do you have to pay to get your book published?
- How do you get an advance for your book?
- What's the difference between self publishing and traditional publishing?
- Where can I find a publisher?
- Can I make more money self publishing?
- How hard is it to get your book published?
- Do I need to copyright my book before I approach agents or publishers?
- What's the difference between copyright and trademark?
- How do I stop somebody from stealing my idea?
- How do I avoid wasting my money on a bad self publishing deal?
I answer these questions and a whole lot more in this course!
Your Writing Journey
There is only one way to separate yourself from the 81% of people who say they want to write a book, and that is to get started!
A tiny percentage of people ever start, and an even smaller percentage finish.
Why?
The most common reason I hear is, "I don't know where to start!" And then they start asking me all of the above questions.
That's exactly why I created this course -- to help you learn what you need to know to get started!
You'll get answers to all of the above questions and more so that the road to publishing your first book won't be a mystery any longer!
My Writing Journey
I'm Deborah Niemann, author of 6 traditionally published books, including Homegrown and Handmade, Ecothrifty, Raising Goats Naturally, and Goats Giving Birth. I spent more than two decades of writing for magazines and newspapers, attending writers conferences, writing book proposals, reading about writing and publishing, getting rejected ... and writing more ... and getting rejected more ... before finally signing my first book contract in 2010.
